Summary: The IAM Engineer role involves working on a high-impact identity and access management project at an enterprise level, focusing on IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM) and Java development. The position requires designing and delivering secure identity solutions while collaborating with various teams to enhance IAM strategies. The contract is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly, and is expected to last until the end of the year with a likelihood of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Deliver IAM Solutions using ISIM for provisioning, RBAC, and access lifecycle management
- Build Custom Java Integrations - connectors, workflows, and business logic
- Integrate ISIM with apps, directories, databases, and third-party IdPs
- Enforce Security Best Practices aligned to standards like GDPR and HIPAA
- Troubleshoot & Optimise IAM systems for performance and efficiency
- Collaborate Across Teams - security, infra, and app dev
- Stay Ahead of the Curve by driving continuous improvement in IAM strategy
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with IAM tools (ISIM preferred, but others like Ping or MIM also welcome)
- Strong grasp of IAM protocols (LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- Solid Java background (Spring/Hibernate a bonus)
- Experience in complex, enterprise-scale environments
- Familiarity with cloud IAM (AWS, GCP, aPaaS)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Great communicator, effective team collaborator
