Senior Hydraulic Modeller

Location: Cardiff or Bristol (Remote options)

Rate: £40–£60/hour (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6 months (extendable to 12 months)

A global engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to support flood risk and drainage projects across the UK. You'll develop and run hydraulic models (Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW), interpret results, produce clear reports, and support junior staff. The work aligns with national frameworks, including AMP8.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with flood/drainage modelling
  • Proficient in at least one key package: Flood Modeller, ESTRY, TUFLOW
  • Relevant degree (engineering, geography, etc.)
  • Able to work independently in a remote or hybrid setup

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of AMP frameworks or Welsh Water projects
  • Coding/GIS skills (Python, ArcGIS, FME)
