Summary: The Cloud Security Architect role is a hands-on position focused on designing and delivering secure, scalable networking and cloud solutions within hybrid environments. The architect will be responsible for shaping enterprise connectivity and security standards while ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks. This position requires collaboration with stakeholders and leadership in mentoring team members. The role is based in central London and does not offer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect enterprise LAN/WAN/SD-WAN solutions and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement routing, switching (L2/L3), and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
- Develop security measures: Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and apply Zero Trust principles.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, GDPR, and other frameworks.
- Architect cloud networking across AWS, Azure, GCP (VPC/VNet, Transit Gateway, cloud Firewalls).
- Oversee secure tunnels, SASE/SD-WAN, and hybrid integration.
- Produce detailed documentation: architecture diagrams, risk register, migration strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide leadership and mentoring.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in network and security architecture.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, routing, switching, and network performance engineering.
- Expertise in Zero Trust architecture and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP networking.
- Familiarity with platforms like Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Fortinet, Check Point.
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and packet analysis (Wireshark).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
