Summary: The HVAC Technician role involves maintenance, repairs, installations, and operation of HVAC systems within a Defence organization. This temporary position offers a competitive pay rate and the potential for permanent employment based on performance. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of HVAC systems while adhering to technical standards and regulations. Candidates must possess relevant certifications and experience in HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete maintenance records and quality checks documentation.
• Repair, install, and operate HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance malfunction data.
• Use various test equipment, load banks, and diagnostic equipment as required.
• Prepare assets/equipment for transport in accordance with technical orders and regulations.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Inspect Hazardous Materials and coordinate disposal.
• Ensure tools and personal protective equipment are safe and serviceable.
• Erect, construct, and operate HVAC systems for exercises and contingencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or assist in other departments as needed.

Key Skills:

• UK citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of military or civilian experience in HVAC systems (preferred but not mandatory).
• Certified refrigeration technician through military or civilian formal technical training.
• EPA CFC/HCFC Refrigerant Processing Certification.
• Knowledge of military or civilian maintenance systems and quality assurance.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical data.
• Proficiency in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience with High Voltage power generation equipment (preferred).
