Summary: The HR Officer/Manager role is a 6-month contract in the sports industry, with potential for permanent placement. The position focuses on shaping HR strategy, managing recruitment, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of HR systems and processes. Responsibilities include developing HR policies, overseeing onboarding, and addressing employee relations issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organisational goals.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews using ATS systems such as Taleo or Workday.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and training programmes to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company.
  • Supervise HR staff and provide guidance on best practices in human resource management.
  • Conduct data analysis to inform HR decisions and improve workforce efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Address employee relations issues by fostering open communication and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies for talent retention and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a managerial capacity.
  • Familiarity with HR software such as PeopleSoft, Workday, or other HRIS platforms is essential.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret workforce metrics and inform decision-making processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A thorough understanding of employment law and best practices in human resources management is highly desirable.
