Summary: This role is for a HR Business Partner at a well-established international manufacturing company in Leeds, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The position involves supporting HR and payroll operations, driving people strategy, and enhancing workplace culture. The successful candidate will lead recruitment campaigns, manage payroll accuracy, and contribute to HR projects while providing expert advice to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to the site management team, providing expert advice and guidance at all levels.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment campaigns — from planning and interviews to onboarding and induction.
  • Manage payroll accuracy, statutory payments, and associated HR administration.
  • Support and coach line managers through HR processes including employee relations, investigations, and policy application.
  • Oversee HR systems and data reporting, ensuring timely and accurate management information.
  • Contribute to HR projects that strengthen engagement, culture, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Be flexible and happy to get involved at all levels of HR activity — from strategic initiatives to hands-on admin support.

Key Skills:

  • Proactive and professional HR Generalist with proven HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience in payroll management and HR data reporting.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Competent user of HR systems and Excel; analytical and data-driven.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable.

The Opportunity; My client, a well-established international manufacturing company, are looking to recruit a HR Business Partner to join our client at a Leeds site on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a key position within the site management team, offering a varied and hands-on role that supports the full HR and payroll agenda across our UK operations. You’ll play an active part in driving people strategy and engagement initiatives while ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. From leading recruitment campaigns to managing data accuracy and reporting, you’ll help shape a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture.
