Summary: The Workday HRIS Analyst role involves supporting the daily operations and continuous enhancement of HR systems and people data capabilities. The position requires collaboration with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure system accuracy and effective workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong Workday Core HCM experience and a proactive service mindset. This is a hands-on, reporting-focused role with a strong likelihood of contract extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide BAU support for Workday (Core HCM) including data integrity, process troubleshooting, and user support.
- Partner with HR/People teams and wider stakeholders to resolve system issues, manage requests, and deliver solutions efficiently.
- Build and deliver standard and ad-hoc people reports/dashboards using Workday and Excel to support decision making.
- Support testing cycles for Workday and related HR platforms, including UAT, regression testing, and validation of configuration changes.
- Maintain system documentation including process guides, reporting definitions, and system controls.
- Deliver end-user training and guidance to HR and business users to improve adoption and capability.
- Support compliance requirements, including GDPR and data security best practice.
- Assist with interfaces/integrations specification and stakeholder liaison where needed (e.g., ATS, Benefits, Performance platforms).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across HR systems.
Key Skills:
- Proven recent experience as a Workday HRIS Analyst / Workday People Systems Analyst.
- Strong BAU support capability within Workday Core HCM (config exposure a plus).
- Excellent people data and reporting skills (Workday reporting + advanced Excel).
- Confident working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into system/reporting outputs.
- Strong testing experience including UAT and change validation.
- Experience supporting or specifying system integrations/interfaces.
- Solid understanding of GDPR and data governance in HR systems.
- Proactive approach to system security, access controls, and audit readiness.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment; able to prioritise and deliver quickly.
