Summary: The HR Advisor role at a leading US law firm in London involves delivering a comprehensive generalist HR service to the firm's attorney population. The position requires collaboration with a supportive HR team to manage employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration while contributing to various HR initiatives. This 12-month fixed-term contract offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will have solid HR experience, preferably in a law firm, and knowledge of UK employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries from attorneys and staff
- Support on employee relations matters, including performance management and absence management
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
- Manage HR administration and maintain accurate employee records
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, and engagement
- Work closely with the wider global HR team to ensure consistency and alignment
Key Skills:
- Solid generalist HR experience within a professional services environment (law firm experience preferred)
- Confident, personable, and able to build strong working relationships at all levels
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Able to work independently and use initiative in a fast-paced, high-performing environment
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) desirable
