Summary: The HR Contractor role is a 3-month interim position based in Wilmslow, requiring hands-on HR generalist support across various functions such as employee relations, performance management, and recruitment. The contractor will collaborate with managers and HR colleagues to ensure compliant and customer-focused HR services. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance across the full HR generalist remit including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, and HR administration.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law, regulations, and HR best practice.
- Coach and guide managers through employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence management).
- Support managers with performance management processes including appraisals, reviews, and feedback frameworks.
- Work collaboratively with managers and employees to promote fair and consistent people practices.
- Support with recruitment processes, job descriptions, and onboarding as required.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality and compliance at all times.
Key Skills:
- Educated to A Level or equivalent.
- CIPD Level 5 (minimum preferred).
- Proven HR generalist experience at an operational level.
- Fully conversant and up to date with UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience of advising managers in a variety of HR situations including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-focused HR advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in HR administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
