Key Responsibilities:
- Managing high-volume and rapid employee relations casework, providing timely, accurate, and risk-aware advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance matters
- Leading on complex long-term sickness absence cases, coordinating occupational health referrals, reasonable adjustments, and Group Income Protection claims in line with policy and legislation
- Acting as the subject matter expert for TUPE (out) processes, ensuring full compliance with legal obligations, accurate employee data transfer, and effective stakeholder communication
- Planning and delivering redundancy consultations, including collective consultation processes in a non-unionised environment, establishing representative forums and ensuring fair and compliant implementation
- Partnering with senior leaders to advise on organisational change, restructures, and risk mitigation, ensuring best practice and adherence to employment law
- Maintaining accurate documentation and providing insight reporting on case trends, absence management, and outcomes to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of employment law, TUPE, and redundancy processes (including collective consultations)
- Proven ability to manage complex HR casework, long-term sickness, and Group Income Protection cases
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within a HR Business Partner role
- Must have experience within the private sector

We are currently working in partnership with a private sector organisation in Telford, who are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner on a 6-month temporary contract. This will be a temporary position based in Telford , with hybrid working (2/3 days working from home) and a rate of £200-£300 per day. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and pragmatic HR professional with strong expertise in complex casework, TUPE, and redundancy, able to deliver results independently and build trust across the business.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Managing high-volume and rapid employee relations casework, providing timely, accurate, and risk-aware advice on disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance matters
