Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner role is focused on providing strategic and operational HR support within a commercially driven charity. The position emphasizes aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals, enhancing employee experience, and fostering a people-first culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR, particularly in commercial or charity sectors, and will be instrumental in driving talent development and organizational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leaders to align people initiatives with organisational goals and commercial priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor on all aspects of HR, including performance, engagement, employee relations, change management, and wellbeing.
- Lead on workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning, ensuring a future-ready workforce.
- Support line managers with complex employee relations cases, ensuring legal compliance and compassionate outcomes.
- Analyse HR data and metrics to inform decision-making and influence strategy.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development and EDI leads to build inclusive and impactful people initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and practices that reflect our values and promote a positive culture.
- Champion a people-first culture that attracts, develops, and retains diverse talent.
- Ensure HR practices are legally compliant, equitable, and aligned with sector best practices.
Key Skills:
- Proven HRBP or senior HR generalist experience, ideally in a commercial, charity, or hybrid organisation.
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience of coaching and influencing leaders, with a focus on building capability.
- Track record of supporting organisational change and continuous improvement.
- Commercial awareness with a passion for social impact and values-led leadership.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathy, resilience, and integrity — with a genuine commitment to inclusion and wellbeing.
