Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner role at an investment bank in London is a 12-month fixed-term contract aimed at providing maternity cover. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior stakeholders and line managers within assigned business divisions.
- Provide guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Support leaders in driving engagement, performance, and retention within their teams.
- Provide advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, and absence management.
- Ensure HR policies and processes are applied consistently and in line with UK employment law.
- Support the annual performance review and compensation processes.
- Partner with managers to identify and develop key talent and succession plans.
- Work closely with the recruitment team and hiring managers to support hiring strategies and onboarding of new employees.
- Support business change initiatives including restructures, team moves, and organisational changes.
- Use data and Market intel to provide insight-led recommendations to business leaders.
- Maintain and present relevant dashboards and reports to support decision making.
- Contribute to HR projects such as policy updates, diversity & inclusion initiatives, and employee engagement programmes.
- Ensure HR activities are aligned with regulatory expectations within a regulated financial services environment.
Key Skills:
- Proven HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor experience within financial services, ideally investment banking, insurance or asset management.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
- Ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
