My client is seeking a dynamic People Business Partner to join the team on an initial fixed term basis (12 months). They operate within the professional services space.This is a critical role within the People Team, providing comprehensive support to senior managers, directors, and employees. You will be responsible for the Northern region within the business and will report into the HR Director.This role can be based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh.Role Responsibilities:Employee Relations & Case ManagementManage complex employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions.Conduct thorough and objective case management while ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.Provide guidance to managers on conflict resolution and proactive management of workplace issues.Performance ManagementPartner with managers to design and implement effective performance improvement plans.Conduct regular reviews of individual and team performance, offering actionable insights and recommendations.Support talent development initiatives and succession planning to enhance organizational performance.HR AdvisoryAct as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for employee engagement and retention.Offer expertise on organizational development and change management processes.Role profile:5-7 years HR experience with at least 3 years in either a HR Business Partnering or Employee Relations role.Bachelors degree and CIPD qualified at least to Level 5.Proven background in managing complex ER issues through to completion.Good working knowledge of UK employment law and legislation changes.Experience in working with customer service centres / contact centres would be advantageous.What's on offer?A competitive base salary (paying up to 70,000 for the right person).Comprehensive benefits package.This role is offered on an initial fixed term basis (due to growth within the business) - there is a very good chance that it will be taken on permanently at completion.Hybrid work policy - c.2 days per week in the office (this can be either Glasgow or Edinburgh).This role would suit a proven business partner that is looking for a new challenge.
