Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner role is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on maternity cover, based in Andover. The position involves acting as a trusted advisor to various teams, driving performance through effective people management strategies, and enhancing HR processes. The ideal candidate will have significant HR experience, particularly in business transformation and change management, and will be responsible for coaching leaders and supporting employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering: Deliver strategic HR solutions that drive performance and engagement.
  • Driving People Performance: Coach managers and enhance team capability.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment law and workplace regulations.
  • Support organisational change initiatives and implement transformation strategies.
  • Identify and address capability gaps to foster high-performing teams.
  • Continuously review and enhance HR processes for efficiency and alignment with best practices.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive targeted actions.
  • Partner with the Head of HR on key people initiatives and strategic HR projects.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance in HR policies across the organisation.
  • Support line managers in performance development and employee engagement.
  • Facilitate the annual pay review and bonus process with the Reward team.
  • Advise on risk management and handle employee relations cases effectively.
  • Monitor absence trends and implement interventions as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc support to managers on workforce issues impacting employee experience.
  • Assist in identifying hiring needs and developing role profiles for talent acquisition.

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience in a HR generalist role with up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • Experience in business transformation, change management, and reorganisation.
  • Confident coaching and mentoring style for upskilling managers.
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support the wider People function.
  • CIPD qualification preferred.
