Summary: This role as a Human Resources Assistant within a fast-paced HR Shared Services team involves managing employee absences and exit processes, while partnering with global stakeholders to support employees, managers, and HR colleagues. The position requires handling complex HR inquiries and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The role is hybrid and is a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an escalation point for complex HR inquiries related to leave of absence and employee terminations
  • Administer and validate absence and separation data accurately and timely in the global HR system (Workday)
  • Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws
  • Manage end-to-end offboarding processes for voluntary and involuntary terminations
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements
  • Create, document, and improve leave administration and exit management processes
  • Audit HR data for accuracy and compliance and resolve discrepancies
  • Support HR reporting, data analysis, and ad hoc projects
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and other stakeholders globally
  • Contribute to HR knowledge base content and internal training materials
  • Support process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills:

  • Strong HR or HR Shared Services experience
  • Experience managing employee absences and/or exit management
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems, particularly Workday
  • Strong customer service mindset with high confidentiality standards
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a changing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills preferred
  • Experience with case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Bilingual capability as required by the role
