Summary: The HR Advisor role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Onllwyn, Wales, focused on supporting a manufacturing organization with a predominantly blue-collar workforce. The position requires expertise in managing employee relations within a unionized environment, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and fostering positive industrial relations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HR advisory roles, particularly in manufacturing settings. This role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options and hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees across the organisation.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management.
- Work collaboratively with trade unions and employee representatives to foster positive industrial relations.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate HR records and support HR reporting requirements.
Key Skills:
- Proven HR advisory experience in a manufacturing or similar blue-collar, unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience in handling complex employee relations cases.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
