Summary: The HR Advisor Operations role is a 6-month fixed-term contract focused on providing comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle within a collaborative HR Operations team. The position emphasizes compliance, employee wellbeing, and the implementation of HR policies, while also contributing to various HR projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and UK employment law, particularly within the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide generalist HR support across the full employee lifecycle and contribute to wider HR projects.
- Manage employment offers, pre-employment screening, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Draft HR documentation, including contract changes, probation reviews, sickness, family leave, performance issues, and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain accurate HR system records for payroll and reporting purposes.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyse trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Support the implementation and consistent application of HR policies across the business.
- Assist HR Business Partners with performance management processes and employee relations issues.
- Coordinate training sessions and support learning and development initiatives.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as health and wellness programmes.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
Key Skills:
- Solid experience across core HR disciplines and generalist responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience or understanding of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Comfortable working independently and navigating HR policies and governance frameworks.
- CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or currently studying towards).
