Summary: The HR Advisor (Maternity Cover) role at Iris Care Group involves delivering exceptional HR services to support management in providing high-quality care. This fixed-term contract position requires a caring and enthusiastic individual to manage HR policies, support recruitment, and enhance staff engagement. The role is based in Cardiff and offers a competitive salary along with various employee benefits. The contract is set to start in January 2025 and lasts for up to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure line managers are skilled in applying HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise and support managers in consistently applying HR policies and processes.
  • Manage a HR case load in line with Service Level Agreements and HR policies.
  • Direct staff to relevant HR policies and ensure understanding of responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to meet current and future resourcing needs.
  • Support line managers in managing absence and attrition, considering Occupational Health support.
  • Maintain HR Information systems and produce HR reports as needed.
  • Proactively achieve and exceed HR team KPIs.
  • Respond effectively to queries and ensure HR administrative processes are actioned.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels and support staff engagement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the HR Advisor role.

Key Skills:

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent (considering candidates actively working towards this qualification).
  • Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced HR role.
  • Experience advising on short-term absence management policies.
  • ER case management experience (absence, conduct, grievance, capability).
  • Experience working towards Service Level Agreements.
  • Understanding of current employment law and employee statutory rights.
  • Experience identifying and implementing wellbeing initiatives.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of maintaining HR information systems and reporting.
  • Own transport and full driving license.

Salary (Rate): 34000
