Summary: The Human Factors Engineer role at ARM involves supporting nuclear safety case development within a design and infrastructure consultancy focused on major Energy and Defence projects. The position is primarily remote with occasional client site visits and requires security clearance. Candidates should have proven experience in human factors engineering, particularly in the nuclear sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply human factors principles within an engineering context.
- Support nuclear safety case development and understand the nuclear safety case process.
- Conduct human reliability assessments and error analysis.
- Deliver human factors assessments with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate as part of a human factors and safety case delivery team.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in human factors engineering.
- Strong knowledge of human reliability assessment.
- Experience in nuclear safety case development (ideally 3+ years).
- Ability to identify human errors and conduct qualitative/quantitative error analysis.
- Relevant qualification in Human Factors, ideally a related degree.
- Chartered membership of CIEHF is desirable.
