Summary: The RAN Engineering Specialist role involves leading complex fault investigations on 2G/4G RAN sites and BSC issues, as well as managing the BSC disaster recovery process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex fault investigations on 2G/4G RAN site/cell.
  • Lead complex fault investigations on BSC issues.
  • Creation of configuration scripts/commissioning files ready for loading onto the live network either using Huawei configuration platform or using WIM Unison system.
  • Creation and management of BSC disaster recovery process.
  • Regular testing of the BSC disaster recovery process.
  • Implementation of BSC disaster recovery process in case of failure of existing traffic carrying BSC.
  • Occasional overnight working for script implementation (such as BSC reparenting).
  • Occasional lab based testing.

What you'll be doing - your accountabilities

  • Lead complex fault investigations on 2G/4G RAN site/cell.
  • Lead complex fault investigations on BSC issues.
  • Creation of configuration scripts/commissioning files ready for loading onto the live network either using Huawei configuration platform or using WIM Unison system.
