Summary: The HSEQ Manager role involves leading the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) team for a significant civil engineering project in Birmingham. The position requires collaboration with site management to enhance business management systems and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This long-term contract role offers the opportunity to work with a reputable contractor in the civil engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and relevant health and safety qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with site management teams and lead the HSEQ team in improving Business Management Systems.
- Assist site management in reviewing documentation prior to site commencement and during project execution.
- Conduct site inspections, identify performance improvement initiatives, and address opportunities for enhancement.
- Consult with site teams to identify significant risk areas and develop measures to control and reduce risks.
- Coordinate learning reviews, produce reports, and implement recommendations.
- Attend monthly framework sessions with the client to review progress and improvement areas.
- Produce periodic framework HSEQ reports for relevant stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- Experience in a Civil Engineering environment.
- Background in Health & Safety.
- IOSH tech or NEBOSH qualification.
- Experience in Temporary works with Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor ticket (desirable).
- Valid Driving Licence.
