Key Skills:

  • Experience in mobilising new contracts (desirable).
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard check capability.
  • Security Clearance (desirable).
  • IOSH membership (desirable).
  • Previous HSEQ experience with a strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.

Detailed Description From Employer:

*12 month FTC to support on contract mobilisation with some scope of extension or going perm*

Salary plus car/allowance

Home based with travel as required

A leading Facilities Management (FM) provider are looking to recruit x2 HSEQ specialists to join the central HSEQ team, where you will drive new contract mobilisations from a HSEQ perspective.

These contracts are major and national in scope, covering different Facilities services within Cleaning, Security, Engineering Maintenance, Capital Projects, Sustainability etc. Ensuring we have a strong HSEQ policy in place to support this is crucial.

The Mobilisation phase to ensure we are business ready come go live date is critical, and you will collaborate with the embedded HSEQ Resource, Operational Managers, the PMO and the Client to provide assurance that all health and safety procedures, safe systems of work, and risk management practices are fully implemented and followed.

These will be public and private sector customers.

While the roles are 12 month FTCs to support on these particular mobilisations there likely will be a chance to apply for perm roles within the organisation.

Actions will include:

  • Mobilisation and transformation with HSEQ into a new contract to ensure we meet client expectations and critical milestones are met within timescales agreed
  • Providing practical, proactive HSEQ support that enables operational teams and stakeholders to work safely, efficiently and in adherence to required standards.
  • Collaborating with client counterparts to ensure HSEQ processes meet their expectations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining internal standards.
  • Understanding the risk profile of the contract and proactively managing potential hazards.
  • Facilitating the successful deployment of HSEQ plans, identifying key risk areas and ensuring compliance across operations.
  • Building, maintaining, and continuously improving robust safety systems, to improve operational resilience and reduce incidents.
  • Collaborating with clients and third parties, including HSE, Trade Unions, Environment Agency, and local authorities, to ensure compliance and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with the HSEQ and transition team to ensure mobilisation success, operational readiness, and the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
  • Embedding a robust safety culture by ensuring all health and safety procedures, safe systems of work, and risk management practices are fully implemented and followed.
