Summary: This role is for a HSEQ Facilities Officer on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. The officer will support the mobilisation of a new government contract, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to prepare for the account's go-live date in Autumn 2025. The role is hybrid, requiring travel across England while primarily being home-based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, coach, and mentor operational teams on HSEQ matters and provide competent HSEQ advice.
- Facilitate the successful deployment of the HSEQ mobilisation plan.
- Understand and identify significant risk areas within the mobilisation plan.
- Engage with Global and UK&I campaigns and initiatives including Safe Choice, Global HSE programmes, and Wellbeing.
- Interact with third parties such as Local Authorities, HSE, and Environment Agency.
- Work closely and flexibly with other HSEQ team members to facilitate success.
- Understand the responsibilities of other stakeholders and focus on executing tasks within the role.
- Utilize business reporting tools such as Insight to identify areas of risk and provide guidance on addressing issues.
Key Skills:
- Strong HSEQ experience within the Built Environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to coach and mentor operational teams.
- Experience in risk assessment and management.
- Familiarity with HSEQ mobilisation plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in business reporting tools.

One of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers have won a major new Government client, with the Account die to go live on Autumn 2025. The employer will provide Engineering, Cleaning, Sustainability * other services across the client's large and complex UK estate
Given the complexity of the Account, a strong Mobilisation phase is required, including to ensure from a HSEQ perspective the work is ready to be delivered come go live date
Working with another HSEQ professional, here you will work with the client, account team and so on to gather HSEQ requirements from the customer and ensure the account is ready to meet them, so all operatives across the contract understand how to work safely
Once the account goes live, this role is very likely to become Perm, in which case you would focus on traditional HSEQ across the account delivery

*No experience of mobilisations needed, we are seeking a qualified HSEQ professional well versed in live facilities*
You will also be joining at an exciting team with a new HSEQ system due to be rolled out in the summer
