Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety walks across active work areas
- Monitor compliance with RAMS, permit-to-work systems, and safe working practices
- Support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and workforce safety engagement initiatives
- Promote a proactive safety culture across subcontractors and site teams
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and project-specific HSE requirements
- Liaise closely with construction management and wider project teams
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer within construction, M&E, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical projects
- Previous data centre experience highly desirable
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications essential (NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of audits, inspections, permits, incident reporting, and compliance processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within fast-paced live project environments
- EU or Irish passport required
- Available to mobilise at short notice

Copius Group are seeking an experienced HSE Officer for a major hyperscale data centre development in Iceland. This is a high-profile, technically advanced project delivering large-scale works within a fast-paced mission-critical environment.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a driven HSE professional with strong construction or data centre experience who is looking to gain international project exposure while working on one of Europe’s most significant live developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving health, safety, and environmental performance across the project, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, workforce engagement, and operational excellence are maintained at all times.
The Role
