Summary: The HSE Systems Management Consultant role is focused on enhancing the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems within a leading transport operator. The consultant will ensure compliance with ISO standards and lead initiatives to improve operational safety frameworks. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the HSE Management System in line with ISO 45001 standards.
- Lead internal audit programs and act as the primary point of contact for external UKAS-accredited certification bodies.
- Manage HSE software and reporting tools to identify trends, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure all HSE policies, procedures, and risk assessments are up-to-date, legally compliant, and accessible to the wider business.
- Assist operational managers in interpreting complex HSE legislation and translating it into practical, on-the-ground workflows.
Key Skills:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- ISO 45001 Lead or Internal Auditor Qualification
- Proven track record in building HSE systems within a complex, high-risk environment (Transport, Logistics, Construction, or Manufacturing).
