Summary: The role of HSE Advisor involves supporting a major Carbon Capture project within a global EPC leader in engineering and construction. The position requires managing safety management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading risk management processes. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated HSE team and contribute to the energy transition efforts. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and evaluating subcontractors, including supplier documentation
- Developing and maintaining HSE project deliverables
- Leading risk management processes and HSE readiness reviews
- Supporting HSE contract administration activities
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Planning and conducting internal HSE audits
- Leading incident investigations
- Coordinating emergency response planning and teams
Key Skills:
- Degree-qualified with a recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH)
- Proven experience working with IMCA contractors
- Strong understanding of IOGP and IMCA standards
- Experience in audits and incident investigations
- Background in offshore / onshore energy or infrastructure projects

Ceto Talent are supporting a global leader in engineering and construction across the energy and infrastructure sectors, in the search for an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major Carbon Capture project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-profile energy transition project, working within an established HSE team on both current and future developments.
The Role
You will be part of a 7-person Project HSE team, supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the project safety management system across a major CCS programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and evaluating subcontractors, including supplier documentation
- Developing and maintaining HSE project deliverables
- Leading risk management processes and HSE readiness reviews
- Supporting HSE contract administration activities
- Ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Planning and conducting internal HSE audits

What We’re Looking For
Degree-qualified with a recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH)
Proven experience working with IMCA contractors
Strong understanding of IOGP and IMCA standards

Background in offshore / onshore energy or infrastructure projects
