At Yorkshire Housing, we don’t just talk about change — we make it happen. And we’re looking for someone who’s ready to lead the charge. We’re on a mission to become a truly customer-obsessed organisation, and we know that starts with our people. That’s why we’re looking for an HR Transformation Lead to join our People & Culture team on a 18-month fixed term contract and play a key role in delivering meaningful, people-focused change. This isn’t your typical HR role. As our HR Transformation Lead , you’ll be the architect of people change across the organisation — shaping how we evolve, adapt and thrive. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure change is not only delivered but embedded in a way that’s meaningful and sustainable. You’ll be the connector between strategy and action, helping us deliver transformation that sticks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning and driving the master plan for people change across the business.
- Making sure change isn’t just delivered — it’s embedded, understood and embraced.
- Acting as the bridge between our change and people teams, bringing in the right expertise at the right time.
- Supporting managers and colleagues through change with empathy, clarity and confidence.
- Spotting risks before they become problems and keeping everything aligned to our strategic goals.
- Working closely with our Change, Comms, People and Learning teams to deliver clear, consistent and engaging change experiences.
- Helping us stay true to our values — especially Create Trust , Achieve Impact and Be Curious — as we evolve how we work.
What you’ll bring:
- A track record of leading HR change that actually lands.
- The ability to zoom out to strategy and zoom in to detail — sometimes in the same conversation.
- Confidence to challenge, curiosity to explore, and the drive to make things better.
- A collaborative mindset and a calm head when things get complex.
- A values-led approach that puts people first.
Check out the attached Role Profile for a detailed look at the role and requirements.

We’re all about trust, curiosity, impact and having a bit of fun along the way. We believe in giving people the freedom to do their best work — whether that’s from home, a hub, or out and about. We’re proud of what we do—and how we do it. We’re not afraid to try new things, challenge the status quo, and lead the way. We’re friendly, straight-talking and bold in our ambitions. And we’re building a culture where everyone can be themselves and do their best work.
