Summary: The HR Service Manager role involves leading the Workforce Services Leadership Team to implement the organization's People Strategy and ensure effective service delivery. The position requires managing strategic and operational aspects of HR services, fostering stakeholder relationships, and continuously improving service performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations and project management, particularly within the public sector. This is a contract position based in Warwickshire, requiring on-site presence 1-2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Our People Strategy and Service Offer to customers
- Lead the team to meet delivery goals and objectives
- Manage strategic and delivery aspects of HR services
- Foster relationships with stakeholders, service providers, and customers
- Serve as subject matter expert for assigned areas
- Implement people solutions and interventions
- Evaluate service performance and develop improvement strategies
- Develop relationships with clients to address business challenges
- Establish a payroll commercial strategy
- Provide a compliant payroll service for 40 customers
- Manage the MHR HR and payroll system contract
- Maintain effective MHR system hierarchy
- Manage workforce-related systems like Hornbill CRM and Five9
- Provide proactive customer service to resolve issues
- Oversee pension administration for various schemes
Key Skills:
- Ability to lead and coordinate projects
- Experience managing teams and driving change in HROD
- Experience designing and deploying HROD solutions
- Experience managing and developing HROD systems
- Experience with MHR and other payroll systems
- Experience within local government is beneficial
