Oakleaf is partnering with a leading global investment bank, to recruit an HR Risk Manager to lead the design and delivery of HR risk frameworks across EMEA. This would be a contract position running until the end of financial year.
Working closely cross functionally with HR, Risk, Legal and Compliance stakeholders, you will drive key initiatives to ensure business readiness and compliance. The role will focus on strengthening governance, identifying gaps, documenting and delivering risk management practices across the three lines of defence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of EMEA HR Risk frameworks covering people risks, including diversity, gender pay gap and working time compliance.
- Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance and external advisors to ensure frameworks align with regulatory requirements and governance standards.
- Conduct assessments of existing HR risk controls, identifying gaps and developing remediation plans with clear ownership, timelines and dependencies.
- Deliver and enhance key risk management capabilities, including policies, governance processes, reporting, escalation procedures and Key Risk Indicators.
- Collaborate across HR and the three lines of defence to define roles, responsibilities and accountability for effective HR risk management.
- Drive programme delivery and stakeholder engagement, providing progress updates, securing senior approvals and transitioning completed frameworks into business-as-usual operations.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in HR Risk, Operational Risk, Governance, Controls, or HR Transformation within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, governance structures, and regulatory requirements, ideally within a banking environment.
- Proven ability to lead complex programmes, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver cross-functional change.
