HR Project Specialist
6-Month Fixed-Term Contract

We're partnering with a highly respected organisation within the financial services and insurance sector to appoint an experienced HR Project Specialist on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR professional with strong project delivery experience to lead several high-profile people initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the organisation's performance, reward and employee experience strategies.
Working closely with the Head of HR and senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects, developing recommendations, managing stakeholders, preparing business cases and driving change across key people programmes.
The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for delivering a range of strategic HR projects, including:
Reviewing and redesigning performance management frameworks
Assessing and benchmarking reward practices
Supporting remuneration governance and committee papers
Conducting a payroll provider review
Reviewing family-friendly and parental policies
Leading the implementation of a new People Services Portal
Producing recommendations, business cases and executive-level reports
Developing implementation plans, communications and stakeholder engagement strategies
This role requires someone who can quickly understand complex business challenges, analyse data, benchmark against market practice and deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.
About You
We're looking for a proactive and highly credible HR professional who can operate independently and influence stakeholders at all levels.
You'll possess:
Proven experience delivering HR, people or organisational development projects
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Experience developing business cases and presenting recommendations to senior leadership
Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities
Strong communication and presentation skills
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight timeframes
A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information
Highly Desirable Experience
Designing or reviewing performance management frameworks
Reward, compensation or remuneration experience
Experience supporting board or committee governance processes
HR systems, employee self-service or HR technology implementation projects
Payroll provider reviews or payroll operations knowledge
CIPD qualification
Experience within financial services, insurance or another regulated environment
