Summary: The HR Project Coordinator will lead the coordination of voluntary severance and redundancy processes as part of a restructuring programme in North West England. This role requires strategic oversight and compassionate leadership to support employees during transitions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The coordinator will work closely with senior leadership, union representatives, and stakeholders to maintain employee engagement and well-being throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the consultation process, providing guidance and reassurance to employees.
  • Coordinate transition support and severance packages, ensuring a positive staff experience.
  • Advise managers on maintaining team morale and supporting affected employees.
  • Ensure all processes comply with employment legislation and contractual agreements.
  • Work closely with HR and senior management to mitigate legal risks.
  • Prepare and issue redundancy notices, adhering to statutory requirements.
  • Engage with union representatives to ensure alignment with negotiated agreements.
  • Develop tailored communication plans that consider both legal obligations and employee well-being.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and HR teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of affected employees, compensation packages, and consultations.
  • Produce detailed reports on project progress, budget status, and employee impact.
  • Monitor key metrics, including consultation outcomes and adherence to timelines.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience (Essential)
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or MA in HRM/Business-related subject (Desirable)
  • Proven HR experience in large-scale restructuring within a complex organisation
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation, particularly redundancy processes
  • Experience in employee relations, consultation processes, and conflict resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence and ability to support employees through change
  • Exceptional organisational and project management abilities
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
