Summary: The HR Policy and Reward Manager will lead the development and implementation of HR functions focused on reward, employee benefits, and wellbeing initiatives within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead. This role involves managing HR policies, ensuring compliance, and supporting the council's People Strategy. The position requires collaboration with schools and partners while overseeing a team of HR Officers. The contract is temporary, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to improve employee wellbeing through support services and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement competitive pay and reward structures.
  • Manage the council’s pay reward and staff benefits provision.
  • Develop, review, and implement HR policies ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for HR services with schools and academies.
  • Design and develop HR Service's data protection policy and processes.
  • Manage, inspire, and develop a team of HR Officers.
  • Adhere to corporate management and governance compliance.

Key Skills:

  • Level 5 CIPD or above, relevant degree qualification, or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience managing an HR team.
  • Knowledge of HR, reward, and benefits processes.
  • Experience in developing corporate policies and initiatives.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative approach to HR support.
  • Experience using HRIS, preferably iTrent.
  • Knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations.

Salary (Rate): 27.53
