Summary: The HR Payroll Coordinator role involves managing payroll processes for two business units in the UK, including the administration of payroll data, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting HR functions. The position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and HR metrics, with responsibilities extending to employee queries and reporting. This is a 12-month contract based in Banbury, requiring on-site presence five days a week. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collate monthly payroll data using the SD Worx payroll system for two business units.
- Process electronic payments and pay slips monthly for all employees.
- Balance and provide monthly payroll reports to the Finance function.
- Administer salary sacrifice processes and deductions of earnings.
- Monitor the company sickness line and update the HR System (Workday).
- Oversee and administer the pension scheme and calculate electronic payments.
- Notify benefit providers of starters and leavers.
- Respond to external requests for employee salary information.
- Ensure payroll information is maintained according to statutory requirements.
- Full responsibility for year-end processes including P11Ds and P60s.
- Collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources.
- Analyze data for trends related to attrition, recruitment, and compliance.
- Prepare reports and present findings to the UK HR Business Partner.
- Support the UK HR Team with general HR administration and initiatives.
- Manage the annual 'Holiday Purchase Scheme' and probation periods.
- Conduct inductions and support the annual renewal process for company benefit schemes.
- Process employee stock option sales through payroll.
- Maintain the skills of the internal 'back-up' payroll person.
- Support the annual auditing process.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of stand-alone payroll responsibility for 200+ employees.
- Experience managing in-house payroll.
- Proficiency in using payroll systems, specifically SD Worx.
- Strong understanding of HR metrics and data analysis.
- Ability to handle employee queries related to payroll.
- Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements and compliance.
- Experience with HR administration and support functions.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify process improvements.
