Summary: The HR Officer at HALO Trust will support the People Services Manager in managing employee relations, onboarding, and HR policy development. This role involves processing employee cases, managing absence tracking, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. The HR Officer will also prepare reports on HR metrics and assist with various administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement within HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential advice on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring documentation is properly stored.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and processes.
  • Assist in processing insurance claims and Occupational Health referrals.
  • Track employee leave balances and manage absences, including return-to-work interviews.
  • Prepare regular HR reports and analyze data on key performance indicators.
  • Ensure accuracy of information in HR systems and respond to employee queries.
  • Act as HR Assistant during their leave and assist in audits as required.

Key Skills:

  • Excellence in English, both verbal and written communication.
  • HNC or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a busy office environment and HR setting.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft applications.
