Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior-level HR, organisational development and payroll expertise to the Chief Executive, Senior Leadership Team and Members, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Lead and manage the HR and Payroll team, delivering a proactive, customer-focused service and ensuring service plans, performance targets and budgets are met.
  • Drive organisational development and workforce strategy, aligning structures and people initiatives with corporate priorities.
  • Oversee payroll operations, HR systems and people data analysis to ensure accurate payments, effective reporting and continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • CIPD qualified with degree-level education (or equivalent) and significant senior HR experience.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing corporate HR strategy, policy and organisational change (e.g. restructures, TUPE).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law with broad generalist HR experience across employee relations matters.
  • Demonstrable experience leading HR and payroll teams, providing strategic advice and managing budgets and service performance.

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in Warwickshire for a HR, OD and Payroll Manager to join the team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. The postholder will be required to provide strategic direction and guidance on organisational development, employment and payroll law, and practice by leading, managing and developing the team’s performance.
