Job Description

Sellick Partnership is exclusively recruiting an experienced HR Manager to join our client based in the West Midlands, working on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 3 days a week onsite.

The HR Manager will report to the Head of People and Culture, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across the organisation, providing expert guidance on employee relations, workforce performance, organisational change and leadership capability.

The duties of the HR Manager include

  • Leading complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters
  • Managing high-profile and sensitive workforce issues, ensuring decisions are fair, evidence-based and legally compliant
  • Advising senior leaders on workforce risk, employment law and people management challenges
  • Supporting organisational restructures, workforce transitions and transformation programmes
  • Leading and supporting TUPE consultations and employee transfer activity
  • Using workforce data and insight to improve attendance, retention, engagement and organisational performance
  • Coaching leaders to strengthen people management capability and confidence
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Supporting culture change, workforce modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Preparing and presenting reports, recommendations and workforce insights to senior leadership teams
  • Supporting the resolution of complex workplace issues through mediation, negotiation and effective stakeholder management.
  • Acting as a visible and credible People partner, providing hands-on support during periods of organisational change and growth
  • Support workforce planning discussions, succession planning activities and talent development conversations with business leaders
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance employee experience and increase operational efficiency
  • Ensure people policies and practices remain compliant with employment legislation and organisational standards

The ideal HR Manager will have

  • Be qualified to CIPD Level 7 or equivalent
  • Significant operational HR experience
  • Proven experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations cases
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience advising and influencing senior leaders
  • Experience using workforce data and insight to drive performance improvement

Additional Skills

The HR Manager will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently.

They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
