The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, detail-oriented HR Manager to join the firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will provide expert advice across a broad spectrum of generalist HR, managing compliance, partner lifecycle matters, global policy maintenance, and strategic people initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating partner-related documentation, including offer letters, partnership agreements, status changes, and exit arrangements.
- Overseeing partner onboarding and offboarding in full compliance with regulatory standards, including SRA requirements.
- Maintaining the firm's HR precedent bank and reviewing employment policies to ensure alignment with legislation and best practice.
- Leading the annual review and update of global employee handbooks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Managing the firm's annual Anti-Money Laundering (AML) screening, DBS checks, and adverse media searches.
- Supporting employee engagement initiatives, including survey management, feedback analysis, and action planning.
- Developing and publishing HR guidance, toolkits, and resources on the internal intranet.
- Coordinating HR training sessions to build capability across the wider generalist HR team.
- Monitoring legislative changes and leading strategic HR projects and process improvements.
Requirements
- Proven HR experience in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner role, ideally within professional services or legal environments
- CIPD qualification or relevant degree-level education (desirable)
- Strong understanding of SRA regulations and employment legislation
