Key Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll (outsourced), and day-to-day HR operations.
  • Work closely with the Bursar and senior leadership team.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for all staff.
  • Produce Management Information (MIS) reports for the People Committee.
  • Take accurate minutes for People-related committees.
  • Oversee payroll processing and liaise with external providers.
  • Handle staff queries, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and ensure compliance.
  • Keep the HR system accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate and monitor staff training and development.
  • Ensure all safeguarding requirements and Single Central Record (SCR) are maintained.
  • Lead on ad hoc HR projects as required.

Are you a HR Manager who would like to make an impact at a school that helps champion children with specific learning differences? I am working with a specialist school that are looking to recruit a Standalone HR Manager. This is initially a fixed term contract until the end of May 2026. The role will initially be based on site 5 days per week in Lambeth. There will then be some flexibility after the initial settling in period to work from home 1 day per week. To be considered for the role you will have education sector experience essentially, strong understanding of school processes and compliance.
