Summary: The HR Manager role at a specialist school in Lambeth focuses on managing the employee life cycle and ensuring compliance within the education sector. This position is a fixed-term contract until May 2026, initially requiring on-site presence five days a week, with potential flexibility for remote work thereafter. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the senior leadership team and oversee various HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full responsibility for the employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll (outsourced), and day-to-day HR operations.
- Work closely with the Bursar and senior leadership team.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for all staff.
- Produce Management Information (MIS) reports for the People Committee.
- Take accurate minutes for People-related committees.
- Oversee payroll processing and liaise with external providers.
- Handle staff queries, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain and update HR policies and ensure compliance.
- Keep the HR system accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate and monitor staff training and development.
- Ensure all safeguarding requirements and Single Central Record (SCR) are maintained.
- Lead on ad hoc HR projects as required.
