Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on a wide range of HR issues.
  • Support managers in handling complex casework including performance management, attendance, and employee relations.
  • Influence and support leadership in driving the people agenda to enhance service performance.
  • Translate business requirements into effective HR practices and deliver people solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and deliver key HR initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, organisational restructuring, and change management.
  • Analyse and report on HR metrics to support benchmarking and inform the development of HR strategies and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Develop and review HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Support the development and implementation of pay and reward strategies that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
  • Support with writing job descriptions, advertising roles and conducting initial interviews.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience in managing change and delivering HR projects.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
