The HR Manager will work with senior management to understand business goals and challenges and develop HR strategies that align with the company's strategic objectives, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organisational development. We are looking for someone passionate about diversity, inclusion and belonging, employee wellbeing and sustainability. This newly created role oversees our Culture Manager, reports to the Managing Director and works closely with the CEO. Main Duties: Inclusion Ensure reasonable adjustments are facilitated, that employees with additional or differing needs feel heard and well supported and provide additional support to managers of those with differing needs Act as a point of contact for mental health support Employee Relations and Engagement Help foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, helping to resolve conflicts and promoting transparent communication Provide guidance and support on employee health and wellbeing matters Support managers and employees with having difficult conversations or tackling sensitive topics Work with the Culture Manager to organise activities to boost employee morale and engagement. Talent Management and Development Provide coaching and feedback to managers on improving team and individual performance Work with managers to establish clear performance expectations and goals in every role Ensure implementation of our performance appraisal system, mid probation reviews and end of probation reviews. Maintain employee records within Staff Files. Ensure job descriptions are in place for all current roles Advise managers on employee relations issues, including how to drive engagement, resolve conflicts and take disciplinary actions. Facilitate succession planning with the leadership team Document career development paths for roles where promotion paths currently exist Recruitment and Onboarding/Offboarding Oversee the recruitment process, selection and onboarding process, ensuring inclusion is considered at every step. Work closely with the hiring manager, Culture Manager and Operations Lead to ensure new hires are a business priority and the candidate journey is seamless Liaise with recruitment agencies and negotiate terms Produce new starter documentation including offer letters and contracts Oversee onboarding to help new employees integrate smoothly into the company including conducting HR Inductions, and new starter check ins Prepare leaver documentation and conduct exit interviews Support managers to exit employees from the business where standards are not met or restructures are required, ensuring a fair and consistent approach which mitigates any unfair dismissal or discrimination claims or any reputational damage Provide monthly payroll updates to Finance including starter and leaver calculations Support with employee immigration matters as required Compensation and Benefits Advise on compensation strategies during annual pay reviews, and for mid-year promotions and new hires to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness Ensure that reward strategies align with business goals and motivate employees effectively Manage the benefits budget, supported by the Operations Lead on benefits administration Provide monthly payroll updates to the finance team Policies, Processes & Documentation Provide guidance and support to employees on company policies and processes, including queries on contracts, holidays, benefits and payroll Proactively look at ways to improve company processes Ensure compliance with employment law in all HR processes and policies Maintain employee records and documentation, such as contracts and performance evaluations. Update handbook policies to reflect changes in laws or company needs. Monitor absence across the Company and report trends to senior management Change Management Support organisational changes, such as mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring, by guiding employees and managers through transitions. Developing communication plans and programs to help employees adapt to change. Data-Driven Decision Making Use HR analytics and data to inform decision-making processes Track key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, engagement, absence, feedback and performance (through probation reviews and appraisals, to identify trends and areas for improvement Line Management of Culture Manager Developing, motivating and engaging the Culture Manager to deliver their best work and empower them to progress and reach their full potential at Fane Oversee the Culture Manager in their line management of the Operations Lead Essential requirements: Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and people practices at HR Manager level Full understanding of employment law Deep understanding of inclusion and EDI best practice Demonstrated passion for employee wellbeing and sustainability Passion for developing people Able to regularly attend the Farringdon Office, ideally 2 days per week Desirable experience: HR qualification (e.g. CIPD) or relevant degree Line management experience What We Offer: 46 - 49.5k per annum, depending on experience (up to 62kFTE) 26.5 days annual leave including public holiday Bonus leave - Mental Wellbeing Day and a day off in the month of your Birthday 120 per quarter Employee wellbeing allowance Access to a financial wellbeing coach through Octoposu Money Access to private healthcare (following 1 years service) Access to free counselling and mental wellbeing services through our Employee Assistance Programme 4% pension contribution Life Assurance of 4 x base salary
