Summary: The HR (HCM) Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of a global Workday HCM implementation for a major transportation organization, supporting around 22,500 users. This role involves managing a greenfield transformation program to replace legacy systems with a modern HCM platform. The position requires strong stakeholder management and project governance skills to ensure successful implementation across a complex environment. The role is a fixed-term contract for two years, based four days a week in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition through to implementation and global rollout
- Establish and maintain robust project governance, planning, and reporting frameworks
- Manage System Integrator (SI) selection, onboarding, and delivery performance
- Ensure alignment between global standards and local regulatory and operational requirements
- Oversee data migration, testing, deployment, and user adoption
- Engage and manage senior stakeholders across multiple operating companies
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, global HCM implementations
- Experience of leading the end to end delivery of Workday
- Experience in System Integrator/vendor selection and management, including RFP processes
- Ability to operate effectively within a federated, multi-entity environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data migration, and system integration
- Experience of leading projects end to end from vendor selection through to implementation
- Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, Agile) desirable
