Salford Council are seeking an experienced HR Consultants to join a busy and supportive HR team providing dedicated support to Adult Social Care services during a period of organisational change resulting from services being brought back into the Council.
This is an initial 6-month interim assignments with the potential for extension, and there may be opportunities to convert into permanent positions for the right candidates.
Reporting to a HR Business Partner, you will provide professional, solution-focused HR advice across a broad range of employee relations and people management issues.
You'll work closely with managers and stakeholders, supporting them to manage complex workforce matters while promoting a positive and people-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence cases.
- Supporting managers with a range of employee relations and workforce issues.
- Advising on recruitment, organisational change and other generalist HR matters.
- Coaching and developing managers to confidently handle people-related challenges.
- Contributing to HR projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives.
- Delivering pragmatic, risk-based and legally compliant HR solutions.
About You
- Experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background.
- Proven track record managing complex employee relations cases independently.
- Confident advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
- Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.
- Ideally experienced within a public sector or large complex organisation.
