Summary: The HR Business Partner role at Weetabix is a 6-month fixed-term contract focused on advancing the company's people strategy through strategic and operational HR support. The position involves leading employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, and compensation initiatives while fostering a collaborative work environment. The role requires close collaboration with managers and employees to ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee life cycle activities including talent acquisition, performance management, onboarding, and employee relations
- Embed local People Plans and assist the people agenda
- Deliver effective talent management and succession planning
- Manage employee absence to reduce short-term costs
- Coach line managers on employee engagement and performance management
- Advise managers on recruitment with the central hiring team
- Assist with operational shift changes and organisational development
- Develop relationships with Trade Unions and improve employee engagement
- Provide HR assistance on operational issues and employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Assist managers in achieving business objectives and ensure best practices are followed
- Serve as a strategic partner on HR matters and drive performance management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
- Work with L&D to identify training initiatives
- Work with the HR team to develop and implement HR policies and initiatives
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably within FMCG or Food Manufacturing
- Experience of employee relations
- Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
