Summary: The HR Assistant role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Luton, focusing on providing HR services to line managers and employees across the UK and Ireland. The position involves administrative duties, recruitment support, employee relations, and maintaining HR systems. The candidate will report to the HR Manager and ensure efficient management of HR processes. Ideal candidates should possess relevant HR experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete administrative duties related to starters and leavers, record sickness, and maintain training and development records.
  • Assist with job descriptions, contracts, and salaries, providing effective recruitment and selection services.
  • Take minutes at meetings and assist with management investigation processes, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Maintain employee data and ensure compliance with HR systems.

Key Skills:

  • Ideally CIPD Qualified Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in an HR office environment supporting SME workforce.
  • General office experience, including pay calculations and database usage.
  • Experience with HR Database systems or willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in systems management.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to use initiative within role boundaries.
  • Ability to work confidentially and understand departmental work nature.
