Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for fee earners and support teams in the Disputes and Risk Practice Group, advising on various HR matters.
- Develop strong relationships with line managers and coach them to enhance management capability.
- Assist in sustaining a high-performance culture through performance management procedures.
- Monitor and analyze attendance, coaching managers on attendance management.
- Manage disciplinary and grievance processes, providing professional advice and escalating to HRBP as necessary.
- Support business areas in spotting trends through data interpretation and provide data-driven insights.
- Assist HRBP and managers with engagement data interpretation and action plan formulation.
- Support cyclical projects such as performance reviews, pay reviews, and talent processes.
- Coordinate client secondments and support HR Assistants in maternity and shared parental leave processes.
- Mentor HR Assistants and provide cover when required.
- Maintain Talent Tracker and resourcing forecasting.
- Participate in HR Inductions for new joiners.
- Manage personal training and development opportunities.
- Perform any other duties to ensure efficient departmental operations.

Role profile We have a fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor to join our collaborative and ambitious Human Resources team on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role as HR Advisor, you'll work closely with our practice group leaders and operations team in providing support and guidance on various HR matters to our Disputes and Risk Practice Group. Our team is on a very exciting journey at the moment, working on lots of interesting strategic priorities and transformation projects. This position can be based out of our Bristol or London office, with the flexibility to embrace hybrid working and some travel between our other UK offices needed as required.

Key Responsibilities You will be the first point of contact for both fee earners and support teams in our Disputes and Risk Practice Group, advising them on a wide variety of HR matters, demonstrating good knowledge of their teams' business goals. Develop strong and trusted line manager relationships, and coach managers in a way that builds management capability. Assist managers to sustain our high performance culture, through proactive informal and formal performance management procedures. Actively monitor and analyse attendance. Coaching managers to manage attendance, including Occupational Health referrals and identify cases of potential concern with the HR Business Partner (HRBP) and managers. Effectively manage a variety of disciplinary/grievance processes, providing professional advice to investigating and hearing managers, and escalates to the HRBP where necessary. Support business areas to spot trends through interpreting data, and provide data driven insights. Support HRBP and managers with interpreting engagement data and formulating action plans with employees, support managers and HRBPs on cyclical projects, such as performance reviews, pay review, talent processes and promotion processes. Support HRBPs on strategic projects. Coordinate client secondments. Support HR Assistants in carrying out maternity and shared parental leave meetings and processes. Mentor and acts as an escalation point for HR Assistants, providing cover for HR Advisers and HR Assistants when required. Keep Talent Tracker and resourcing forecasting up-to-date. Take part in fortnightly HR Inductions for new joiners. Actively manage your own personal training and development, identifying any suitable development opportunities. Any other duties that may be required to ensure the efficient operation of the Departments you are supporting.
What We're Looking For You will be an enthusiastic HR professional with proven HR advisory experience. Also Required A confident communicator with the ability to establish productive relationships with people at all levels. A thorough understanding of employment law and policies and ability to use and advise on these in a commercial and pragmatic way. In depth knowledge of typical HR process and procedures. A client-focused ethos. Experience in working with HR systems. Professional, flexible, enthusiastic and self-motivated. Ability to gather, interpret and manage highly confidential and sensitive information. Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy and demanding environment. Custodian of the OC culture.
