Summary: The HR Advisor role at Northwood involves providing hands-on HR support and guidance to managers at the Telford manufacturing site, with remote support for Oldham and Bromsgrove locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management support to Managers, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Work with the HR Administrator to support the Employee Life Cycle, including new starter and leaver processes, Right to Work checks, and probationary reviews.
- Promote and demonstrate company Guiding Principles through day-to-day support.
- Support the HR Business Partner with advice on disciplinary, capability, and grievance cases.
- Document and file all correspondence related to employee relations cases.
- Take notes at hearings and log sanctions on the HRIS.
- Participate in HR projects as part of a proactive HR team.
Key Skills:
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong delivery of Employee Relations support and advisory.
- Ability to provide coaching and guidance to Managers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR/Payroll systems.
- Experience in handling HR casework and advising on HR policy.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) qualification.

We’re recruiting at our Telford site, one our fast-paced manufacturing facilities! You'll be providing hands-on HR support, coaching and guidance to Managers (Operational and Commercial functions). While predominantly based at the Telford offices, you will remotely support our Oldham and Bromsgrove sites with occasional travel to those locations. Please note this role is normally site-based 5 days per week.
About The RoleDay To Day You will provide case management support to Managers, ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently. Working with the HR Administrator to provide administrative support where necessary throughout the Employee Life Cycle will be a key part of the role, including new starter and leaver processes, Right to Work checks, probationary reviews, and Employee Relations matters. Through day-to-day hands-on support, you will play an active role in promoting and demonstrating our Guiding Principles: One Family; Zero Harm by Choice; Leading with Humility; and Empowered Teams. You’ll also be involved in HR projects, working as part of a proactive, innovative and responsive HR team.
Employee Relations You will provide support to the HR Business Partner to provide advice to Managers regarding disciplinary, capability, and grievance cases, ensuring all correspondence is appropriately documented and filed.
