HR Advisor

A well-established secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fully site-based role, providing expert HR support and guidance to managers across the school within a wider trust hub model.

The Role

• As the HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted HR expert, supporting managers with a range of employee relations and people matters, including:
• Providing HR advice, guidance, and coaching to managers
• Supporting employee relations casework and HR best practice
• Overseeing recruitment processes and onboarding activities
• Assisting with payroll oversight and HR administration
• Working closely with the HR Business Partner supporting multiple schools across the trust
• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and employment legislation

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor or equivalent role
• Experience within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) environment is highly desirable
• Strong employee relations and stakeholder management skills
• Recruitment and payroll oversight experience
• Local government, civil service, or fire service HR experience would also be advantageous
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with managers
