Summary: We are looking for an experienced HR Operations Advisor to join a leading public sector organization on an initial 3-month contract. The role involves providing expert HR advice, managing employee relations casework, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The position is hybrid, requiring two days per week on-site in Swindon, including Wednesdays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational HR and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations casework, including absence management, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Coach and support managers to ensure consistent, compliant and effective people management.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and ways of working.
  • Analyse HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Contribute to HR projects, organisational change initiatives and learning activities.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.

  • Experience working within an operational HR environment.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR knowledge and experience.
