Summary: The HR Advisor role involves providing expert HR advisory services to schools on the Isle of Wight for an initial period of 3-6 months, with potential for extension. The position requires advising school leaders on HR issues, managing casework, and ensuring the accessibility of HR policies. Candidates must possess a CIPD level 7 qualification and relevant HR advisory experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and guide Headteachers, School Business Managers, and Senior Leaders on HR related issues.
  • Professionally support on case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance issues.
  • Carry own case load of formal cases.
  • Design and deliver policy related training.
  • Ensure HR related policies, procedures, guidance notes, and intranet pages are maintained, and easily accessible to enable managers.
  • Assist managers, employees, and the wider HR team in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures, enabling the application of good practice.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in an HR advisory and support role.
  • CIPD level 7 qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage casework effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Training design and delivery skills.

Salary (Rate): £30/hour

Detailed Description From Employer:

We are currently looking for a HR Advisor for an initial 3-6 months with the possibility of an extension at a rate of £30 p/h Umbrella.

The roloe will be  within the Human Resources team supporting the delivery of an effective and efficient HR Advisory Service across island schools.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and guide Headteachers, School Business Managers, and Senior Leaders on HR related issues.
  • Professionally support on case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance issues.
  • Carry own case load of formal cases.
  • Design and deliver policy related training.
  • Ensure HR related policies, procedures, guidance notes, and intranet pages are maintained, and easily accessible to enable managers.
  • You'll assist managers, employees, and the wider HR team in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures, enabling the application of good practice.

You'll need to demonstrate skill, knowledge and experience in a HR advisory and support role and you'll need to have completed your CIPD level 7 qualification.
