Summary: This HR Advisor role within the Human Resources team focuses on delivering an effective HR Advisory Service, particularly in the public sector with an emphasis on Adult Social Care. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing case work and providing guidance on HR-related issues. The successful candidate will support managers and employees in applying HR policies and procedures while ensuring compliance and best practices. A CIPD level 7 qualification is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and guide Adult Social Care and other Council Services on HR related issues.
  • Professionally support on case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance issues.
  • Carry own case load of formal cases.
  • Design and deliver policy related training.
  • Ensure HR related policies, procedures, guidance notes, and Intranet pages are maintained, and easily accessible to enable managers.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in a public sector environment, preferably with knowledge of Adult Social Care.
  • Proven HR advisory and support skills.
  • CIPD level 7 qualification.
  • Ability to manage case work effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

An opportunity has arisen within our Human Resources team to support the delivery of an effective and efficient HR Advisory Service. We are looking for an individual who will be able to step in and pick up case work swiftly and effectively therefore, experience is ideally within a public sector environment preferably with some knowledge of Adult Social Care.

We need a proactive, experienced individual who is solution focussed and able to:

  • Advise and guide Adult Social Care and other Council Services on HR related issues.
  • Professionally support on case work including disciplinary, capability, sickness absence and grievance issues.
  • Carry own case load of formal cases.
  • Design and deliver policy related training.
  • Ensure HR related policies, procedures, guidance notes, and Intranet pages are maintained, and easily accessible to enable managers.

The successful candidate will assist managers, employees, and the wider HR team in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures, enabling the application of good practice.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate skill, knowledge and experience in a HR advisory and support role and you'll need to have completed your CIPD level 7 qualification.
